Join us for a gentle day of flower gathering and painting in the peaceful walled garden and glasshouse at Renishaw Hall.
Rhian will walk you through the cutting garden in the morning where you will be able to pick your own pail of flowers, herbs and foliage. Returning to the Victorian glasshouse, Rhian will demonstrate simple ways to naturally arrange garden pickings and foraged flowers in vintage jugs and jam-jars, encourage you to grow your own flowers at home, and share her love of wild gardens and seasonal floristry.
In the afternoon artist and illustrator, Emma-Jayne from Sweetpea Home Interiors will start the watercolour painting workshop with an exercise to unwind and relax . before moving on to mixing watercolours and sketching out the summer blooms chosen from the garden. Emma-Jayne will guide you through the process of creating a painting inspired by your morning in the cutting garden.
This workshop puts well-being and time at the heart for everyone attending, The day will be informal and relaxed and suitable for beginners to gain confidence and learn new skills in a beautiful setting. Your flowers and painting are yours to take home with ideas and inspiration for seasonal projects. We look forward to welcoming you.
