Seedball Shade Mix is a mix of British native wildflowers that are most likely to thrive in those shadier spots of your garden/balcony and which are still butterfly and bee friendly.

What is Seedball?
A ball made from seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder.

Why use Seedball?
The ball prevents the seeds from being a tasty lunch for birds, insects, or rodents thereby increasing the chances of your flowers growing. Plus they're super easy to use, no digging and no expert knowledge needed.

What's in the tin?
There are 20 balls in each tin, and around 30 bee mix seeds per ball.

Contains the following seeds:

Red campion: a medium to tall perennial with rose pink flowers

Meadowsweet: a tall grassland perennial with clusters of creamy white flowers

Bellflower: a medium to tall perennial with beautiful bell-shaped blue flowers

Forget-me-not: a short annual with blue-grey and occasional pink flowers

Oxeye daisy: the largest member of our native daisy family, this tall grassland perennial has distinctive white petal flowers and yellow floret,

Ragged robin: Beautiful tall perennial with raggedy red flowers

Meadow buttercup: The tallest of our native buttercups, meadow buttercup has distinctive yellow petals

How do I grow my Seedball?
Just throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter. Your Seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate.

What area will my Seedball cover?
We would usually advise 20 seed balls per square metre, or 3-5 seed balls for a 12-14” container.

All seed is responsibly sourced in the UK from Flora Locale accredited suppliers. Seedball only ever use peat-free compost and steel tins manufactured in London (with the help of a solar farm on their factory roof)
