Mid-Summer Hand-tie Workshop
Our Cutting Garden at Renishaw Hall is incredibly beautiful all year round but in June and July it is overflowing with cottage garden flowers, herbs, fruit trees and vines and it is a wonderful time of year to harvest buckets of flowers to make wild and wonderful mid-summer hand-tied creations.
Our workshops are informal, friendly and filled with helpful information on how to get the most out of a cutting garden, harvesting and conditioning flowers and combining colours and textures together to create natural, seasonal, arrangements which look like they have just been picked from a meadow.
We believe in gardening as naturally as possible and using environmentally friendly products and packaging so we will teach you how to gift wrap garden flowers beautifully using brown paper and raffia and share our tips for making your own flower food and our favourite herbal tea and cake recipes all set in the Victorian greenhouse in the private orchard at Renishaw Hall.
All equipment is provided but you may like to bring an apron and gardening gloves and please dress for the weather.
