Spend a day in the private Cutting Garden at Renishaw Hall. You will spend the morning touring the garden whilst we share all we know about the history of the Kitchen Garden, Orchard, and Glasshouses, and our favourite plants and flowers to grow for cutting to create your own cut flower garden at home. We will demonstrate how to plant, care, cut, condition and use seasonal flowers and discuss our favourite flowers, herbs, and foliage for natural floristry.
After a picnic lunch in the orchard, the afternoon will be spent cutting your own flowers in the garden and learning how to make a simple jam jar posy and a wild and wonderful spiral stemmed, hand-tied bouquet in the glasshouse.
We hope you will leave with a wish-list of seeds and plants to grow at home, a greater understanding of the beauty and environmental benefits of seasonal flowers, and be inspired to create natural arrangements using wild and garden gathered flowers with herbs & foraged foliage.
